Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), is the second-largest airport in the UAE with three large terminals servicing millions of passengers each year. The airport is located 30 km from the city centre, taking around 40 minutes to reach.
To get from AUH airport to the city centre, your Abu Dhabi airport transfer driver will head toward “Abu Dhabi – Sweihan – Al Hayer Road”, they will stay on this road by keeping on the left lane. Your driver will then follow the signs for “Al Bateen Executive Airport”, and once they reach the city centre, they will then take a right turn onto 15th Street, also named Mohamad Bin Khalifa St. From here, your driver will either head straight in order to reach Al Mushrif Palace (city centre area) or carry on further, depending on your exact location within Abu Dhabi city centre.

Abu Dhabi taxi services calculate their fares using a taximeter, based on the time and distance travelled. A trip from Abu Dhabi airport to the city centre costs around €17.50 (AED 75), traffic dependant. Please note that prices change for night and weekend trips. Moreover, surcharges apply for vehicles leaving Abu Dhabi airport, €3.50 (AED 15) for small vehicles and €4.70 (AED 20) for larger vehicles.
