Directions from São Paulo GRU Airport
São Paulo Airport, also known locally as Cumbica Airport, after the district where it is located, is the second busiest airport in Latin America by passenger traffic with over 35.5 million travellers a year. GRU Airport is located 25 km away from the city centre of Sao Paulo and takes around 35 minutes to get there by taxi.
In order to get from the airport to downtown São Paulo, your driver will leave the airport on the BR-610 and merge onto Rod. Ayrton Senna in Várzea do Palácio. They will then follow Rod. Ayrton Senna, Av. Marginal Tietê and BR-116 to Av. Cruzeiro do Sul in Ponte Pequena, São Paulo. From there, your driver will take the exit toward Av. do Estado/Centro from BR-116 and carry on this road for 17 km. They will then continue on Av. Cruzeiro do Sul until they reach R. Cantareira and R. Florêncio de Abreu to Praça Ramos de Azevedo on República road. Your driver will then take the small city roads until you reach your exact location in the city centre.
São Paulo Taxi fare from Guarulhos International Airport
Most São Paulo airport taxis calculate their prices using a taximeter, based on the time and distance travelled. However, various factors affect these prices, such as if you are travelling by day, by night, on a weekend or on a holiday.
