Directions from Ljubljana International Airport (LJU) to the city centre
Jože Pučnik Airport, also known as Brnik Airport, is Ljubljana’s international airport and the largest airport in Slovenia. It is located 30 km away from Ljubljana city centre, taking 30 minutes to reach, by car or by taxi.
To get from LJU to downtown, your driver will exit the airport by taking Route 104 and Šenčur to the A2/E61 in Voglje. From there, they will follow on the A2/E61 to Celovška Cesta/Route 8 before taking the exit toward Lj.-Šentvid/Lj.-Center/Škofja Loka/Medvode from the A2/E61. Your driver will carry on this road for 15.5 km. They will then continue on Celovška Cesta and drive to Slovenska Cesta before using the small local roads to get to Ljubljana’s city centre, taking a total travel time of 30 minutes.
