Travel safely with Welcome Pickups
Net Safety Score
We’ve introduced a metric indicating how safe travellers feel when using our services during the COVID-19 pandemic. After every ride, we ask each traveller to leave a review.
20 minute gap between transfers
Following each ride, our drivers have at least 20 minutes to thoroughly clean the surfaces of the car and ventilate the cabin.
Regular Car Sanitisation
Our drivers thoroughly sanitise and disinfect cars according to Welcome Safety Protocol
When you book, you can request to have zero contact with the driver during the transfer with just one click. In this case, the driver won’t help you with your luggage or shake hands.
Sanitiser in every car
We provide hand sanitisers and hand wipes for all our travellers. Our drivers have their own sanitiser, which they use before and after every ride
Taxis in Amman
Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a modern place that is, however, surrounded by ancient ruins. It is a bustling and vibrant city, a treasure trove with historic sites and cultural activities. If you’re looking to explore the Middle East, Amman is a good place to start. Of course, you might not want to spend hours of your day waiting for the bus or trying to navigate through the public transport system of Amman. If you’re eager to reach your destination and have plenty of time to explore all the major landmarks, you can hop on an Amman taxi instead, and wander around the centre relaxed and comfortable in your air-conditioned vehicle.
Nonetheless, if you love the peace of mind that comes with pre-booking your transfers, you can confirm your Amman private ride in advance and have your on-time pickup and friendly, personalised service guaranteed before you even touch down at Queen Alia International Airport.

How to get a Taxi in Amman
If you want to get around the city comfortably, you can easily get a ride from one of the official Amman taxi companies that serve the city centre. For a taxi service in Amman, you can pre-book your taxi online, hail a cab on the street, reserve a ride over the phone or find a vehicle at one of the designated taxi ranks.
Amman cabs are located near all major landmarks, hotel chains and malls, i.e. at the Abdali Mall. At the airport, taxi stands are located just outside the terminal. Keep in mind that you will receive a piece of paper from a taxi controller there, with the price of your trip.
Private taxis are yellow and are very affordable. Amman drivers are friendly, know the city like the back of their hand, and usually speak English. For securing a taxi pickup when you’re on the go, you can simply call one of the many available taxi companies, like Easy Taxi, which can be reached at +962 6 577 7666.

Amman Taxi Tips
- A helpful tip for using taxis in Amman is to have change handy. In general, drivers do not accept cash over €6.52 (JOD 5).
- Most drivers speak English but you might also want to learn some phrases in the local language before your arrival. If you like, you can also note down your destination on a piece of paper and hand it to the driver when you enter the cab or show it to them on your mobile device.
- Credit cards are widely accepted, but it is recommended to carry some cash with you just in case.
Wheelchair Accessible Taxis in Amman
Unfortunately, the standard taxis in Amman aren’t equipped to transport wheelchair users. However, you can arrange your transportation in advance with an airline company called Royal Jordanian that can arrange special transfers for people with mobility difficulties and offers wheelchair adapted vehicles. If you want to use a conventional cab instead, you can fold your wheelchair and store it at the back of the vehicle.
Safety and Complaints for Amman Taxis
