Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY), formerly known as Maroochydore Airport, is an international transport hub serving the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. This busy airport is the only airport in the region that can service jet aircraft operations. The distance from MCY to Maroochydore is 9 km, so taking a Sunshine Coast airport taxi won’t take longer than 8 minutes.
Once you’ve left the airport compound, your driver will take you east along Friendship Ave. You will then come to a roundabout, where you will exit onto Airport Dr and turn right onto N Shore Connection Rd. After around 1 km, you will then merge onto Sunshine Motorway/State Route 70 via the right-hand ramp. You will follow Sunshine Motorway for around 5 km, then take the Maroochydore Rd/State Rte 8 exit toward Maroochydore. After a left hand turn onto Maroochydore Rd, you will reach the heart of Maroochydore.
