Travel safely with Welcome Pickups
Net Safety Score
We’ve introduced a metric indicating how safe travellers feel when using our services during the COVID-19 pandemic. After every ride, we ask each traveller to leave a review.
20 minute gap between transfers
Following each ride, our drivers have at least 20 minutes to thoroughly clean the surfaces of the car and ventilate the cabin.
Regular Car Sanitisation
Our drivers thoroughly sanitise and disinfect cars according to Welcome Safety Protocol
Contactless ride
When you book, you can request to have zero contact with the driver during the transfer with just one click. In this case, the driver won’t help you with your luggage or shake hands.
Sanitiser in every car
We provide hand sanitisers and hand wipes for all our travellers. Our drivers have their own sanitiser, which they use before and after every ride
Reliable and Convenient Quito Airport Transfers
Quito Airport in Ecuador is one of the busiest airports in Latin America, serving millions of travellers all year long. After a long flight, the last thing you need is to wait in line for a tax for the next bus; instead, you can opt for a personalised and reliable private transfer with Welcome Pickups to enhance your travel experience. As soon as you land, a professional, English-speaking driver will be there to greet you warmly and take you directly to your destination.
If that sounds like the type of experience you want to have, take a couple of minutes while planning your journey to book your Welcome Quito airport taxi in advance; that way, your transfer will be pre-paid, helping you stay on budget and saving you the trouble of worrying about currency and cash payments. Before your arrival, you’ll have received an email with your driver’s photo and contact information, so you’ll know exactly who will be waiting for you at the airport. Even if your flight is delayed, your driver will be monitoring any last-minute changes, adjust the pickup time accordingly, and wait for you in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name on it.
After you meet with your Welcome driver, they will help you with your luggage, if you wish, and they’ll guide you to your private vehicle. All you need to do is sit back and enjoy the ride to your hotel or apartment. Don’t forget, you’ll be with a local before you’ve even reached the city; this is your chance to ask for any local tips on the local culture, cuisine or hidden, lesser-known spots!

Quito Airport Transfer Fares
Quito airport taxis are required by law to use a taximeter to calculate the total fare for each ride. The average price for a standard taxi for up to 4 passengers from Quito Airport to the city centre is about $25 (€25). As a tourist, you might come across unofficial drivers who will try to negotiate the trip’s price instead; it’s best to avoid taking such rides and just choose a taxi from the official taxi rank at the airport. In any case, you can pre-book your fixed-fare ride with Welcome to avoid the hassle and have peace of mind.
