Directions for your Caracas Airport Taxi to Downtown Caracas
A taxi from Caracas airport will take about 40 mins to get into the city centre, as the airport is located about 30 km north of the city. Once your taxi leaves the airport, your driver will initially head West for 3 km before taking the ramp that will take you onto Autopista (Motorway) Caracas-La Guaira and drive south for the next 23 km. You will then exit left onto Autopista Francisco Fajardo and head west for 5 km before exiting right and merging onto Ave. Las Acacias which will finally take you into the heart of the city.
Caracas Airport Taxi Cost
The average cost of a Caracas airport taxi will be about €55 and it is recommended that only a licensed airport taxi is used. Official airport taxis have kiosks you can purchase a ticket from, which you will then give to the driver. Unofficial metered taxis are also available and are cheaper but it is highly recommended to avoid them for safety reasons.
